What is an event?

An event is a one-time online meeting. Through an event, authors and readers can meet online. It can be free or paid, and a maximum number of participants can be set.

What is an Admission Fee?

The admission fee is the amount participants must pay to join an event. The event organizer determines this fee. Once set, the admission fee cannot be changed, so it should be decided carefully.

What Does Buy Now Mean?

Buying refers to participants paying the admission fee to enter a paid event. Purchases can be made starting one hour before the event. Once completed, purchases are non-refundable, as a maximum capacity is set, and cancellations could negatively impact other participants.

Will the Admission Fee Be Refunded If the Event is Canceled?

If the event organizer cancels an event due to unavoidable circumstances, the admission fee will be refunded. For more details, please check the message for the specific event.

What is a Schedule?

An event is an online meeting, so it must have a defined start and end time. The available meeting duration depends on the online tool used. Please refer to the description of your chosen tool for details.

Example: Zoom Usage Limits

  • Free Basic Plan: Maximum of 40 minutes if more than three participants, no time limit for one-on-one meetings
    • How to bypass the 40-minute limit? When the meeting ends after 40 minutes, the organizer and participants can press the Enter button again to continue.
  • Paid Pro and above Plans: Meetings can last up to 30 hours continuously.

What is Maximum Capacity?

Maximum capacity refers to the total number of people who can join an event. Since events are held online, the number of participants allowed depends on the online tool used. Please refer to the tool’s description for specific limits. The maximum capacity cannot be changed once set, so it should be chosen carefully.

Example: Zoom Participation Limits

  • Free Basic Plan: Up to 100 participants
  • Pro Plan: Up to 100 participants, expandable to 300 with an extra fee
  • Business Plan: Up to 300 participants
  • Enterprise Plan: Up to 500 participants
  • Zoom Large Meeting Add-on: Expandable to 1,000 participants

What Does Enter Mean?

Entering an event means joining an online event. Pressing the Enter button connects participants to the online meeting link set by the event organizer. Entering is available from 1 hour before the event starts and is not possible 10 minutes after it ends.

  • For Event Organizers: When creating an event space, you enter an online meeting link. This link will be used to connect participants. As an organizer, ensure you have a working microphone, speakers or a headset, and a webcam. Most smartphones and laptops have these built-in, but it’s good practice to check your equipment beforehand.

  • For Event Participants: To join an online meeting, you should have a microphone and speakers or a headset. Having a webcam is also beneficial. Most smartphones and laptops come with these features, so additional equipment may not be necessary.

What is a Minibook on the Topic?

This refers to a minibook used as part of an event. Typically, event organizers showcase their minibook here to encourage participants to read it before attending. It is also possible to use another person’s minibook.

To feature a minibook in an event, go to the cover of the minibook and click the Event topic button. Follow the instructions to complete the process.

I Can’t Delete an Event

If there are already buyers for the event, the organizer cannot delete it. In case of unavoidable circumstances like disasters or accidents preventing the event from taking place, please use the message function to notify participants.
